These terms govern your use of the Simone website and any purchases or services arranged through it. By accessing the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About Us
Simone is an independent bookstore located in central Copenhagen, Denmark, specialising in rare, limited-edition and out-of-print books covering art, photography, design, fashion and culture.

2. Use of the Website
The website is provided for informational and commercial enquiry purposes. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use it for any unlawful purpose. All content — including images, text and design — is the intellectual property of Simone or its licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission.
3. Orders & Purchases
Browsing or sending an order enquiry does not constitute a binding purchase. A contract is formed only when we confirm your order in writing. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, for example if the item has already been sold or if there is a pricing error.
Prices are stated in Danish Krone (DKK) and include Danish VAT (25 %) where applicable. Shipping costs are stated separately at the time of confirmation.
4. Payment
Payment instructions are provided at order confirmation. We accept bank transfer and other methods as stated in the order confirmation. Payment must be received before dispatch.
5. Shipping & Delivery
We ship worldwide. Estimated delivery times are provided at the time of order confirmation and are indicative only. We are not liable for delays caused by customs, courier services, or circumstances beyond our control.
Risk of loss passes to you upon dispatch. For high-value items we recommend insured shipping; this will be noted in the order confirmation.
6. Returns & Right of Withdrawal
As a consumer in the EU/EEA you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days of receiving the item, without giving a reason, in accordance with the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (Forbrugeraftaleloven).
To exercise this right, notify us at info@simonebooks.dk before the 14-day period expires. Items must be returned in their original condition at your expense. We will refund the purchase price within 14 days of receiving the returned item or proof of return shipment.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to items that are sealed and have been unsealed after delivery where, for hygiene or content reasons, return is unsuitable — but this applies only to items clearly indicated as such at the time of purchase.
7. Condition of Items
Many of our books are rare, second-hand or vintage. Condition is described as accurately as possible in each listing or order confirmation. Minor wear consistent with age and prior handling is to be expected and does not constitute a defect unless otherwise stated.
8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The website is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by Danish law, our liability for any claim arising from use of the website or a purchase is limited to the price paid for the item in question.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Danish law. Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Danish courts. EU consumers may also contact their national consumer dispute body or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance.
